Chapter 4: In which we meet a…Lugi

“We shouldn’t be here Shakira! What if these people are bad! What if they eat us?!” Yukie said, she is very worried.

“Dudette! Calm down! We’re going to be just fine, I have a knife!” I replied.

“Yeah, a knife won’t work!” Yukie said. We entered the crystal palace. It was empty in the front. Then, a creature appeared. It was a creature with no arms or legs; it was round with spikes on the top.

“Magnificent! A chair for the great melon of the great crystal palace! Finally I could be free!” The spiky said, he had a weird accent.

“Uh…excuse me?” I asked, “Are we invisible to you?”

“No, no, not at all! OHHHH! What are you doing here?! You’re the people from the world above! How magnificent!” Spiky said.

“Not to be rude, but what exactly are you?” Yukie asked.

“I’m a melon! This crystal palace is full of melons! How could you not know? Well, come with me!” Spiky said excitedly.

 

“Look, Lugi, melon, whatever your name is! We aren’t here for a tour. We just fell into a big hole! Super wide and super deep. All we need for you to say is how to get out!” I shouted at that lugi…melon…whatever.

“Ohhhh, you can’t leave now!!! The adventure is about to start!” melon said.

“Oh we soooooo can!” Yukie said, “Come on Shakira!”

“NOOOOOO! You have a war to fight! A quest! Save our country!!!” Melon head begged.
