I ordered a book from the book orders and it included a triops hatching kit. I thought that was pretty cool even though I didn't know what triops were. They gave me, triop eggs, pipe, triop food, hatching nutrients, and a tank. I was supposed to hatch them in a plastic cup, under a lamp to keep them warm. I put the eggs in and in a few days, 1 triop hatched!!! It was sooooooooooooooo tiny, I thought it was a shrimp.

I looked online to find out what it was. The results were that triops are dinosaur shrimps! Their eggs can be dried and when you put the eggs in water again, they'll hatch! So my triops grew bigger and bigger and when they get old enough, I'll move them into a bigger tank and they'll reproduce, then they die.

We have 7-8 hatched successfully, but later three died when they were still tiny little things. This week, two more died, don't know why. We have three left till this point!

I will try to upload the pictures of triops, if you can get onto youtube, there are videos of triops. Or google the triops to find the information of this kind of creature.
