Graduation Speech
Dear Madam Wu, teachers, students of graduating classes, parents and all distinguished guests,
I am greatly honored to speak here on behalf of the graduates of 2011.
5 years ago, when I first stepped into Q. F. L., mom and dad took my hands and handed me over to my first class teacher. At that time, I had absolutely no idea what was going to unfold in front of me. All I was thinking about was “Wow, I will have a lot of new friends to play with”. Yes, I did make a lot of new friends at Q.F. L. and together we had 5 wonderful years. But the past 5 years in Q.F.L. has given me much more than that. I believe the same applies to every graduate here. For this, I would like to express our gratitude to all those who made it happen.
Countless thanks to Madam Wu. To us, you are a strict mentor as well as a loving grandmother. We love the stories you shared with us from time to time. From you we have learnt to be self-disciplined, grateful for all we have and responsible for ourselves and others. Your teaching has been deeply engraved in our mind and we will benefit from it for a lifetime.
Many many thanks to our teachers. Your hard work and patience has turned us from ignorant kindergarteners into intelligent teenagers. We are now ready to continue our exploration for knowledge, thanks to the solid foundation that you help us establish. And by the way, we’d also like to apologize for all our mischief that gave you so many headaches.
And we shall not forget to thank those who have given us the gift of life, who make sure that we are healthy and safe, who provide us with all we need, who accept us as what we are and love us unconditionally -our beloved parents.
Ah, yes. A lot of thanks to our classmates too. During the past 5 years, we had so many laughters and tears together. We celebrated together for the achievement of the class. We helped and consoled each other in face of frustration. You have made the past five years a sweet and unforgettable memory of mine. I am very lucky to be your classmate.
Having extended so many thanks, the only thing that remains to be said now is
CONGRATULATIONS, all graduates of 2011!!!! We have finally made it! Good luck to you all! Have a nice journey with all what you have gained from Q.F.L.! May Q.F.L. be proud of us all the time! Last but not least, may our dear Q.F.L. have a more prosperous future!
