近几年来，我们在上海市中高考的试卷上发现了很多新概念英语的影子，以下我们讲逐条分析新概念英语在词汇、语法和写作上对于中高考的影响：
1．词汇：
• 2002年中考：改写句子：(第二部分 语音、词汇和语法)
• 1. Fill In the blanks with the proper words according to the phonetic transcriptions根据所给音标，写出适当的单词，填入空格内)：(共4分)
• 1. It's too /dB:k/here. We can't take photos.
• 新概念原文是：The railway station was big, black and dark. （Lesson 25, book 2, Do the English speak English?）
• 2. Guangzhou is located in the /sauW/of China.
• 新概念原文是：They were expecting a valuable parcel of diamonds from South America. (Lesson 7, book2, Too late)
• 3. In the /sent[/of Shanghai stands the History Museum.
• 新概念原文是：Alice Spring, a small town in the center of Australia. (Lesson 4, An Exciting Trip)
在这个四分的题目里，有三道题目牵扯到的词汇都可以在新概念英语中找到原型，可见新概念对于学生词汇习得的帮助。
2．语法：
• 新概念一册(四年级到预备班）：8种时态
• 新概念第二册（初中学生）：16种时态、三大从句、非谓语动词、基本写作技巧
• 新概念第三册（高中学生）：词汇达到4500词、熟练使用各种复句、阅读理解能力提高、写作突飞猛进
3． 阅读：
2005年上海高考阅读题：
• table manners (A 篇) Art (B 篇)
• 这两篇文章相关的话题新概念英语在第二册第40课，第26课和第三册第3课都有所涉及， 如果学生可以提前了解这些话题必将极大地帮助他们理解这些阅读题。
2003年完形填空：
• During the time (13课，二册)of the Second World War, a woman from New York was one of the many who(28课，二册) had a son in the army in Asia .The son wrote home once a week. (6课，二册)
4． 写作：
2002年中考作文题：
• 以“我的心爱之物”为题写话，不少于50个词。内容必须包括英文提示中的3项要求，标点符号不占格)：(共8分)
• introduce what the thing(s)is(are)
• say when and/or where, and how you got it(them)
• explain why you like it (them) and why it is (they are) special to you.
请看我们根据新概念第二册第10课写的范文：
I have a very lovely toy bear. It is called Winnie the Pooh. It was made in Great Britain and now it is kept in my room. Last year, it was bought by my father. He gave it to me on my birthday. I have received many gifts, but this is the most beautiful, so I love it very much.
综上所述，我们可以得出结论，新概念英语对于中高考确实有非常直接的帮助作用。
